Carolyn Cianciotto

Manhattan born but raised in The Bronx, Carolyn Cianciotto says, "When a client comes to me for a manicure or pedicure, their expectations are high...many clients not only want their nails to look good but they need a little Nail Therapy 101!" Carolyn's clients love her for her light-hearted wit and unpretentious style. Let's face it, most nail salons don't allow test drives on their manicurists -- you never know what you'll get but, Carolyn knows that top-notch service starts with the bottle in the manicurist's hands.

With many years in the business, Carolyn has built quite a reputation, she feels, "The art of "Nail-tology" is based on experience, education, people skills and confidence. Whether you're at the dentist, the eye doctor, the dry cleaner or getting your nails done, "professionals" explain what they're using (or doing) to make you feel comfortable so that you don't have to ask." Carolyn also says professionals know when to keep their mouths shut -- too much talking during this special event can make a client feel "worked". Knowing when to speak is key.

A great, long lasting polish job begins with the basics. Carolyn New York's award winning line of nail polishes meet any competitor head to toe! Literally.

With today's demand for pure and simple, green products, CNY's nail polish is DBP free and salon perfect, even if you're at home!

A master at a young age, Carolyn began her career working at a "unisex" salon. Yes, UNI-SEX! She recalls the toughest guys in the neighborhood making a pit stop to get their nails done after they were released from ... And that's just the beginning, Carolyn kicked it into high gear when she began working at New York's Pierre Hotel as a nail technician and licensed esthetician. Catering to mostly a male clientele, The Pierre Hotel has its perks. Carolyn's experience at the Pierre opened the door to quite a few celebrity personalities. From there, Carolyn found herself in South Florida at The Breaker's Hotel in Palm Beach. And, not before long, was known as an “educator” in the industry. The Millenium proudly gave Carolyn the task of training and prepping their girls for board certification. Nurturing these women into the industry was a natural for her -- Carolyn was born with an instinct to be real and never make anyone feel like less.

Through the years, Carolyn became quite the dichotomy by successfully jumping into every class of people she met. She's not only the personal manicurist for fashion icon, Tory Burch but has touched the hands of Jane Rosenthal of Tribecca Films, Tony Bennett, The Matt Lauer family and many others.

You might say Carolyn is “New York's Socialite Manicurists” BUT when you meet Carolyn you'll know that she never lost the common touch even though she's walked with kings. These days, the inspiration for her nail polish line (and life) comes from her daughter, Amber who taught her how to create and grow through the miracle of their mother - daughter bond. Her mantra, “Anything is possible and I’m gonna make it work.” This role as mother comes quite naturally to Carolyn as she always nourished women before her -- Carolyn's drive to lead a first class nail polish line leaves her breathless some days but it's Amber that feeds her soul with lifelong nutrients. She says her daughter inspired her. Carolyn credits her father for strength but feels her belief in life and people came from her mother who taught her to be honest, loyal and persevere every step of the way!
